Stolen Moments Jazz is celebrating its 23nd year of entertaining private parties, weddings and corporate functions. From the Howe Sound Corridor including Pemberton, Whistler and Squamish to the City of Vancouver and Lower Mainland, Stolen Moments Jazz has had the pleasure of bringing its version of classic jazz including Swing, Latin and Blues styles to the public.


Locally based in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, Stolen Moments Jazz is available as a Trio which is Stand up bass, Tenor sax and Guitar and also as a Quartet where we add Drums for a livelier feel.

At the bands inception, Tim, Dave and Andy satisfied the local restaurant crowd with a smooth dinner jazz set to compliment the fares of local restaurants. Catching the eye of inquisitive patrons, private functions became more frequent. Stolen Moments Jazz was able to take weddings, wine tastings, birthdays, Christmas and dinner parties to higher livel. The Corporate world took notice of the band with event planners and agents jumping on board to request the services of this respectable, professional group for conferences and special events.

Over the last twenty three years Stolen Moments Jazz has had the pleasure of being involved in some fantastic parties, emotional weddings and out of the way destination venues. We continue to provide courteous service on a music level with the client and guests pleasure being the most important objective of the group.

Weddings

Stolen Moments Jazz is a jazz band that delves into Swing, Blues, and Latin styles, plus some funky grooves as well.   We work as a Trio or a Quartet.   SMJ as a Trio includes Stand up Bass, Semi-Acoustic Jazz Guitar and Saxophone. As a Quartet, we add Drums, for a fuller and more upbeat feel.  Stolen Moments Jazz often gets hired for the ceremony, reception/dinner, and the after dinner dance set. We cater well to weddings as we play an ambient background style for the ceremony, pick it up for the reception, and then play a special dinner jazz set. We usually will switch to some livelier arrangements for dancing when the timing is appropriate.
